Let’s Have a Passionate Chat…Shall We?

Hello everyone. Well it’s about that time for one of my heartfelt posts. So get comfortable, and be open and ready for some inspirational chit chat.

Right now I’m in the interview process for my perfect dream job (amongst others)- that if you knew me really well or even maybe a little bit- you could agree that this job and I are 2 puzzle pieces that were meant to “fit” with one another. I’m really putting all my eggs in a basket so to speak- and sending lots of positive vibes and thoughts towards obtaining this job of a lifetime. I don’t want to sound cocky in the least bit- but with my vast work experience, plain old life experience, and my passion for the ocean and education- I would only excel in this position- expand the program to even greater heights- and would wake up happy and eager every day to get to work. I’m thankful to have such supportive friends, family, and coworkers in this process who make me feel like a million dollars. I’ll obviously keep you posted on how it goes ๐Ÿ™‚ think happy thoughts!

Recently, I’ve been reconnecting with old friends and making a lot of new ones. It’s been super fun ๐Ÿ™‚ With reconnected friendships, many from high school, I throughly enjoy seeing what wonderfully happy successful adults we’ve turned out to be. With new friendships- I’ve branched out to friends of friends, girlfriends of friends, pretty much most of the Pasadena Fire Department stations, and the list goes on. The people in my life are here for a reason, and obviously the same is to be said for those who are not.

I’ve been getting a lot of praise for my passion for marine science recently, and even some criticism since it’s all some people think I talk about. Which is understandable of course, but I can’t hide what I thoroughly enjoy learning and feel compelled to share it. I’ve also been commended for my writing as well. I am a Guest Blogger for the South Pasadena Patch online newspaper. Last week, my article was published on Seafood Fraud in LA – Check it OUT! I have never really LOVED to write, but somehow you find me here with my own blog for the past couple of years filling out these pages with stories and photos ๐Ÿ™‚ My mom told me she cried when she started reading my blog posts because she’s seen how my writing has improved, which is definitely a huge compliment. To move my own mother to tears?? It assures me that I’m doing something right. I’m in the process of ‘blogstorming’ with another blogger girlfriend of mine- keep checking in for updates on that!

Well, I think that’s about it for my rant today. I’m excited to see what the future has in store for me. Hope you are as well! The photo featured on this post is one taken of me in the Australian town of Byron Bay. The quote is one of my top favorites of all time (for obvious reasons). I’ll continue my passion for the ocean and environment until the day I die. What is your passion? I’d love to hear about it.

  1. Awesome post Chanel!! My passion has always been music, trying to pursue a career as a singer, have my own recording studio, my own group, tour around the world. I’ve always loved being on stage, singing, singing before I could talk haha! But, it’s definitely my passion, my life, can’t see myself doing anything else. I’m psyched for cal Phil for sure!!!

  2. With enthusiasm like yours, I have no doubt there are many, many jobs that you would be the perfect fit for, and would be a perfect fit for you. If you think about how long our working lives are, and how much of each day we work, it is worth finding something that really inspires you. Shine on Chanel, I wish you the best of luck and look forward to hearing how it goes.
