One musician who has really struck a chord with me recently is Feist. Her name is actually “Leslie Feist”- she’s a Canadian singer/song writer. For some nice Sunday evening tunes, I will leave you with some of her great songs/lyrics.
MUSHABOOM
I got a man to stick it out
And make a home from a rented house oh
And we’ll collect the moments one by one
I guess that’s how the future’s done oh
How many acres, how much light
Tucked in the woods and out of sight
Talk to the neighbours and tip my cap
On a little road barely on the map
MY MOON MY MAN
Take it slow
Take it easy on me
And shed some light
Shed some light on me please
Take it slow
And shed some light
Shed some light on me please
I FEEL IT ALL
No one likes to take a test
Sometimes you know more is less
Put your weight against the door
Kick drum on the basement floor
Stranded in a fog of words
Loved him like a winter bird
On my head the water pours
Gulf stream through the open door
Fly away
Fly away to what you want to make
Lovely tunes to kick of a bank holiday Monday 😉 x
Great- glad I could help kick it off!
I love Feist! The song Mushaboom is about a little town here in Nova Scotia!
Oh is it? How cool!
